The satirical and comedic poem tells the misadventure of Zog, an alien who arrives on Earth hoping for kindness but is met with hostility and chaos. From being pelted with stones to being electrocuted and splashed with holy water, his experience turns into a series of ridiculous misfortunes. Humans, driven by fear and ignorance, see him as a threat and prank him relentlessly. Injured and disappointed, Zog finally abandons Earth, realizing it’s not the welcoming place he expected. The story humorously highlights human paranoia and cruelty, leaving a moral that Earth might not be the best tourist destination for aliens.

Description
“The Misadventures of Zog the Alien”
Zog the Alien came from afar,
Zooming down in his cosmic car.
With tentacles waving, eyes so bright,
He thought Earth folk would be polite.
But as he landed with a hopeful cheer,
A farmer screamed, “ALIEN’S HERE!”
Before poor Zog could even blink,
A rock flew past—”Damn, they stink!”
Down the street he tried to stroll,
Hoping for kindness, heart and soul.
Instead, kids screamed, “A giant bug!”
And zapped his butt with a cattle plug.
He dodged tomatoes, pies, and bricks,
An old man whacked him with a stick.
A priest threw holy water fast,
“Begone, demon! You won’t last!”
He sought some shelter, drenched and cold,
McDonald’s glowed in neon bold.
“I’d like a burger, extra cheese!”
They tased him down—“FREEZE, GREEN FREAK, FREEZE!”
Zog limped back to his busted ship,
His hopes all crushed, his patience ripped.
“Earth is nuts, these folks are mean!
Next time, I’ll stick to Mars Cuisine!”
He hit the thrusters, soared away,
Leaving behind a town in dismay.
And as he vanished into the sky,
One last rock hit his alien eye.
Moral of the story, hear me well:
Earth’s not friendly, it’s pure hell.
